It was Rabindra Nath Tagore who first exhibited an interest in Kashmiri poetry and literature when Mahjoor's poems translated into English were brought to the notice of the great poet. Even afterwards, there were no serious attempts made for interaction between Kashmiri writers and those of the outside world for dissemination of the knowledge and the light so uniquely found exclusive to Kashmiri heritage.No wonder, many people outside Kashmir are even now ignorant of the wise words uttered by saints like Leila Ded and Sheikh Noor Din Noorani Walli (R.A). This book is among a few attempts made to broadcast the image of Nund reshi, the greatest propounder of peace and harmony which mother Kashmir has produced.
